Our Weed Control Program Starts in the Spring & Ends in the Fall

Throughout the rest of the program, we will spot treat your weeds with post-emergent applications. Along with weed control, this program also includes fertilizer treatments to nourish your lawn throughout the changing seasons.

Step One (Spring): Our first herbicide treatment of the year includes a pre-emergent application to protect your lawn against common grassy weeds such as crabgrass. Along with this, we will also treat your grass with liquid fertilizer for a fast-release application of nutrients into your soil. To finish off this first visit with a bang, we will also apply humic acid, fulvic acid, and sea kelp all to help with the strong growth of your grass.
Step Two (Late Spring): As spring starts to come to a close, we will return to your property to spot-treat any weeds that have started to grow since we last visited. We look out for common weeds like annual bluegrass and dandelions. Our crew will also apply another application of liquid fertilizer.
Step Three (Early Summer): Our summer treatment will be the same as our last treatment to carry your lawn through the hotter weather. This means another round of post-emergent weed control and liquid fertilizer.
Step Four (Mid-Summer): At the hottest point of the year, our crew will return to check up on your lawn. We keep an eye on your turf in the mid-summer months because your cool-season grass is enduring a lot of stress at this time. To give it an extra boost, we will spot-treat any weeds that have grown since our last visit to ensure that they do not steal any more much-needed nutrients from your lawn. We will also nourish your grass with more liquid fertilizer.
Step Five (Fall): As we close out our program for the year, we will add our last post-emergent herbicide treatment to tackle any remaining weeds like clover, ground ivy, and wild violets. We will also apply our last treatment of liquid fertilizer as well as another round of humic acid, fulvic acid, and sea kelp. See you in the spring!
